Undertaking and Commitment for Participation in the Disguise Run
In consideration of my participation in the Disguise Run as a participant, I undertake and agree to the following:
1. I authorize Saudi Sports Events to use, in whole or in part, video recordings, photographs, or audio recordings made for the Disguise Run across visual, audio, and print media and social media. By accepting this undertaking, I grant Saudi Sports Events, as organizer and supervisor of the event, all rights to use and publish such material.
2. I will comply with all instructions issued by Saudi Sports Events and all event-specific instructions provided to me.
3. I will comply with the Public Decorum Regulations issued by the Council of Ministers and any subsequent amendments.
4. When publishing media content on social media, event channels, or appearing in media, I agree that:
• Published content must not infringe anyone’s dignity or freedom, blackmail them, or damage their reputation.
• I will not publish content that violates public morals, depicts people inappropriately, shows immodest clothing, or uses offensive language.
• Content must comply with the Kingdom’s media policy, applicable publishing and audiovisual media laws and regulations, and Saudi Sports Events instructions.
5. I will not use the Saudi Sports Events logo or the logo of any affiliated entity without prior final approval from the relevant entity.
6. I understand the risk of physical injury associated with running and release Saudi Sports Events, its agents, contractors, employees, the venue management, organizers, participants, and all event-related parties from claims, compensation, or legal liability arising from injury during the event, on the racecourse, at event facilities, during training, or while traveling to or from the event, to the extent permitted by law.
7. If I am injured while participating, I authorize Saudi Sports Events and its representatives to act on my behalf where immediate medical care is required and to take appropriate steps for my health and safety. They are not responsible for related medical expenses. If I am medically assessed as unfit to continue, I may be removed from the event.
8. Where prizes are offered, participants may enter all competitions; however, a participant who wins two competitions will receive only the higher-value prize, if applicable.
9. Where prizes are offered, they will be delivered to winners within no more than 45 days after the event.
10. A participant registered as a resident of the event venue who achieves a winning position, where prizes apply, may not claim the prize value and accepts removal from the winners list.
11. Participants must respect local customs, traditions, and public decorum and wear suitable attire during training and the race. Participants must observe proper conduct, respect privacy, and avoid indecent words or actions.
12. Saudi Sports Events may refuse entry or participation where a costume or attire violates public decorum or morals. In such cases, the registration fee is non-refundable.
13. Withdrawal, absence, and fees: registration fees are non-refundable in all cases, including withdrawal after registration and payment or failure to attend for any reason.
14. Postponement or cancellation: subject to applicable rules, the organizer may change the event date, route, or program, or postpone or cancel the event for operational, security, health, weather, authority-directed, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Registrations and fees will then be handled under the organizer’s published policy.
15. Personal data protection: I consent to the collection, processing, and use of personal data needed for registration, participation management, timing, results, communication, and event services, and to its necessary sharing with event service providers and contractors, in accordance with applicable Saudi laws and policies, including personal data protection laws.
16. Results and timing: race results depend on the organizer’s approved timing system. I will wear the race number and timing chip or device, if provided, as directed. The organizer may disqualify me or amend my result if I breach the course, race rules, instructions, or manipulate timing data or results.
17. Conduct and safety: I will not engage in violent, aggressive, harassing, abusive, or dangerous behavior; deliberately obstruct participants or the race; or breach organizer, security, or safety instructions. The organizer may disqualify and remove anyone who violates these requirements.
18. Personal property: I am responsible for my personal belongings, vehicle, and its contents. The organizer is not responsible for loss or damage except where required by law or where the organizer’s liability is established.
19. Force majeure: the organizer is not responsible for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including government or security decisions, dangerous weather, disasters, epidemics, major incidents, or similar circumstances that prevent or restrict the safe staging of the event.
20. Event attire and appearance: the organizer or venue management may prohibit any costume, mask, prop, accessory, or item considered unsafe, unsuitable, obstructive to vision, movement, or breathing, or likely to endanger or disturb others. Prohibited or dangerous items are not allowed.
I confirm my full acceptance of and commitment to this document issued by Saudi Sports Events. I accept legal responsibility for the consequences of any breach and confirm my agreement with full legal capacity.
